If you live in a big city, you’ve probably taken advantage of bicycle sharing programs. They’re a great way to get around the city while avoiding traffic as well as a great way to get exercise.
Fortunately, Google Maps has made it easier to find bikeshare stations in big cities 24 cities in 16 countries. Starting today, you can see the total amount of bikes in a station with Google Maps in these cities in real-time.

- Los Angeles

- São Paulo
- Toronto
- Vienna
- Warsaw
- Zurich
Bikeshare info was already available in New York City prior to this move by Google.
The new info will certainly come in handy for bikeshare users. Problems users face include: not knowing where to pick up a bike, getting there only to discover there aren’t enough bikes for their group, or going to return a bike only to see that all the docks are full. The new information in Google Maps can now alleviate all of these problems!
